Glack Look To Continue Scoring Form

Premier Electric Derry JFC Group A

Sean Dolans GAC v O’Connor’s GAC Glack

Celtic Park

Saturday 24th August @ 2:30pm

Referee – Kieran Jnr Connor

The second of Saturday’s Derry JFC encounters also pits together teams with opposite results under their belts.

Sean Dolan’s battled gamely in their opener against Drum, but an improved second half from St Colm’s saw them take the points and leave the city men requiring a victory to stay in the competition they last won in 2009.

10th in Division 2, Dolan’s sit well behind their opponents in 6th and will need a huge performance to overcome the significant odds stacked against them.

The Glack men’s scoring prowess was clear to see in their 1-20 to 0-02 demolition of Doire Colmcille in their opening encounter and the O’Connor’s men will be confident a repeat performance will book their place in the final four of the championship.

Paul Melaugh netted the goal for Sean Dolan’s against Drum and there was an impressive 0-04 haul for Odhran O’Kane, while Glack can rely on Cormac Boyle to spearhead their attack.

The form book suggests that O’Connor’s will be celebrating a Semi-Final place after Saturday’s game and be preparing for a table-topping decider with St Colm’s Drum.
